For over 45 years The Nantucket Daffodil Festival has been an island favorite and its highly anticipated return after a 2 year hiatus is a testament to that. The old favorites will return at the center of activities including the always popular classic-car parade followed by the Sconset tailgate picnic, Daffodil Flower Show and Daffy Events held at Children's Beach.
One of the many reasons that the festival is such a favorite is that after a long winter it’s a great reason to get outside and reconnect with neighbors and the island. There is something for everyone, young and old, families, local and summer residents and weekend visitors can participate at any level. You can choose to enter a car in the parade dressed up in an enthusiastic theme, the Daffodil Flower Show or simply wander among the classic cars on Main Street as a spectator.

Car Parade & Tailgate in 'Sconset
Antique Cars & Motorcycles will proceed to Main Street starting at 9am on Saturday, April 23.
The Car Parade never disappoints. What's unique about the parade is that you never know what is going to show up. You can have a 30-year-old Jeep covered in daffodils parked next to a classic Rolls Royce that would turn heads at Pebble Beach.
Visitors can view them until just before 12 noon, when they will parade out to ’Sconset. The Tailgate Picnic in Sconset is from 12 noon to 3pm.
Daffodil Flower Show
The 46th Annual Daffodil Show by the Nantucket Garden Club will be held in the greenhouses at Bartlett’s Farm on Saturday, April 23 from 2-5pm & Sunday, April 24 from 10am to 4pm. This year’s theme is “Island Treasure
Daffy Events at Children's Beach
Daffodil Festival events will be held at Children’s Beach on Sat. April 23 10 am – 2:30pm. As of Feb. 22, these include: Daffodil Hat Parade, Daffodil Children’s Parade, Giveaways, Live Entertainment, NiSHA Dog Parade.
