As we head into the holiday season and the end of another fantastic year for real estate on Nantucket low inventory continues to play a major role in the market. Fewer new listings and high demand have kept available listings at about the same level as they were this time last year. That being said there are fewer sold and under contract properties in October compared to last year with almost twice as many price drops.

Fall and winter is typically a slower activity time for the Nantucket real estate market. For buyers it can be a great time as many homeowners want to sell before the winter, especially with interest rates on the rise. For owners looking to sell, now is a good time to list your home. Demand remains very high right now, that we know, but this could change in the near future.
